Privacy policy
How Teqaction handles personal information collected through this website.
Last updated: 13 August 2026
Who we are
Teqaction (“we”, “us”) operates this website. If you have questions about this policy or about how your data is handled, contact us at hello@teqaction.com.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to run the site:
- Information you give us. When you submit the contact form or book a meeting, we collect your name, email address and anything else you choose to include, such as your company, budget range, timeline and project description.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics and session data. With your consent we use Hotjar to understand how visitors use the site, which may include recordings of pointer movement, clicks and scrolling. Hotjar sets its own cookies. You can decline this on your first visit and change your mind at any time.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask about.
- To improve the content, structure and performance of the site.
- To keep the site secure and to prevent abuse of our forms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your explicit consent.
Legal basis for processing
Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and session recording, on legitimate interests for site security and essential server logging, and on taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract when you contact us about a project.
Sharing your information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the site, and only to the extent they need it. These currently include our hosting provider, our analytics provider (Hotjar) and our email delivery provider. Each processes data on our instructions under a data processing agreement.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the transfer mechanisms those providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. Analytics data is retained according to the provider’s standard retention period. Server logs are kept for a short rolling window.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to request a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these, email hello@teqaction.com. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
Cookies
Essential cookies are used to remember your cookie preferences. Analytics cookies are set by Hotjar only after you accept them. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then behave unexpectedly.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
